Key points

Ahead of the May 2019 federal elections, a declaration of revision of the Constitution will be adopted, determining which articles may be amended in the next legislative term. Ghent University, together with VUB, USL, UCL and ULiège, wants to offer inspiration to policymakers in shaping that declaration and launches a call for ideas.

In the run-up to the federal elections of May 2019, a declaration of revision of the Constitution will be adopted. That declaration determines what may be changed in the Constitution during the next legislative term. It is necessary to start thinking about this now, because that declaration must not be rushed. Together with the VUB, USL, UCL and ULiège, Ghent University wishes to offer inspiration to political decision-makers in shaping that declaration of revision.
